אלטע היים "המולדת הישנה" ציור שמן של חנן מזל The Old Country Oil on canvas by Chanan Mazal 71 x 111 cm, 28" x 44" George Washington Bridge, NY-NJ. My signature circa 1961, is copied from the inner cover of "The Man Who Didn't Was His Dishes", by Phyllis Krasilovsky
I am Jerusalem artist, creating primarily (though not only) Jewish art. My work, including older illustrations and graphic design can be viewed at my more formal website: http://www.mazalart.com/
More work, also including sketches and experiments can be viewed
I was born in the US, and have been living and creating in Jerusalem since 1980. At times, I feel like an acrobat, bouncing between two competing, yet complementary cultures. Likewise, my artwork is a balancing act: I juggle my commitments to serious artistic concerns, and to Jewish traditions and beliefs, with pleasure from adventures in colour, pattern and temperament.
