Jerusalem with Bird Illustration work, gouache, 26 x 36 cm, to be printed smaller. That dark green could never exist here, even if we had rain the past 5 years, and not this drought.
I am Jerusalem artist, creating primarily (though not only) Jewish art. My work, including older illustrations and graphic design can be viewed at my more formal website: http://www.mazalart.com/
More work, also including sketches and experiments can be viewed
I was born in the US, and have been living and creating in Jerusalem since 1980. At times, I feel like an acrobat, bouncing between two competing, yet complementary cultures. Likewise, my artwork is a balancing act: I juggle my commitments to serious artistic concerns, and to Jewish traditions and beliefs, with pleasure from adventures in colour, pattern and temperament.

Green or not...it "says" Jeruselem...great image.
So why did you use the green - maybe there is a symbollism to it rather than the colour itself? Always a treat to see your work.
